Huge congratulations to yesterday’s newlyweds Crystal and Stephen G. Hot but otherwise beautiful day.

When I first mentioned a “First Look” session for their wedding day, Chrystal got very excited, but wanted some shots with lots of greenery – this by itself is nothing that is too hard to find in this region, but she also wanted to find a place, that is not often seen in other similar pictures from this area… so all of us went scouting. In our rummage we have stumbled upon the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail and decided to meet at one of the rest stops (Rest Stop at Mile Post 4) along it. Great spot – not a lot of people around, just an occasional bicyclist or two. The only downfall – pesky little yellow flies that were everywhere (I believe I’ve Photoshopped 7 or 8 of them out of one of the photos 🙂 ).

Rest of the evening we’ve spent at the ceremony cite – backyard of their best friends, Cori and Brett, a couple, who’s Halloween Wedding I have so unexpectedly shot couple years ago and who recommended me to Crystal and Stephen. It was a very welcomed change from all those wedding venue sites – twenty or so closest family and friends, celebrating a new beginning.
